Miles Christensen was the passenger of a drunk driver and was ejected from the vehicle, along with another passenger, on the night of May 11, 2009. Both Jackie Ardolan and Miles were killed in this single car crash. Two lives and two families destroyed by drunkenness The driver, a mutual friend, spent his 21st birthday in prison. This tragedy was replayed 10,839 times in 2009 as family after family received a call that their loved one was killed by a drunk driver, or that their drinking and driving caused their death. You do have a choice. Think before you drink, and set safeguards against driving if impaired. Anticipate impaired judgement that tricks you into thinking you can drive if you intend to drink.

Miles Christensen Scholarship
Miles high school Alma Mater is Sunny Hills High School in Fullerton, California. Following his death, friends and family donated monies to the Sunny Hills Foundation. His brother Tanner, mother and I looked at different options on how to apply this gift in a way that would best exemplify the life and memory of Miles. We quickly narrowed the focus to the football program. It was here that he forged close friendships, learned lessons about hard work, enjoyed the most, and was where his brother was still involved as quarterback.
The establishment of a scholarship in his name for a graduating senior member of the football team seemed the best way to honor Miles, the donors and the program he loved. It is currently a $4,000.00 scholarship and a MacBook awarded to a senior who exhibits exemplary character, leadership and play on and off the football field.
An independent non-profit, the Miles Christensen Scholarship, was established in 2015 to better manage the funds and create wider opportunities. A second annual scholarship of $4,0000 and a MacBook was established at Santa Ana High School in 2019. Miles Christensen Scholarship is a 501(c)(3) charity. Fed. ID is 47-5169181.
